Around the campfire, one may find pots, pans, and other various cooking utensils. Campfires are scattered around the wasteland and will usually be found surrounded by some form of benches or makeshift bedding. Provided these fixes work as intended out in the wild, it appears as if we'll be able to start saying that New Vegas is simply "fun" instead of "buggy, but fun.Campfires in the Mojave Wasteland are used to cook raw meats and to create a wide variety of medicines, chems, and poisons. In addition, this patch addresses issues with the following areas:
Weathered pistol no longer glitches when applying mods. Crafting menu now filters valid (bright) recipes to the top of the list. Fix: Using Mojave Express dropbox can cause DLC warnings.
Fix: Entering the strip after Debt Collector causes crash and autosave corruption. Companions will always fast travel with you, unless told to wait or sent away. Companions now show up as waypoints on the map. Note that this is pretty much a head-to-toe patch, addressing nearly every important system and mechanic in the game. Save file corruption is indeed one of the "top" fixes alongside much-needed companion tweaks. In November, Bethesda said that this patch would squash save file corruption bugs and address a "number of other issues being reported." In a new blog post, the publisher outlines what's been fixed and addressed. The Xbox 360 and Steam versions of the patch are due to hit at some point next week. Fallout: New Vegas just got a lot better, at least on the PS3, since the comprehensive patch Bethesda announced in early November is now available on that platform.
